THE TIME OF OUR LIVES Tears and tassels, pictures and prom- ises, college and cowboy boots; all a part of graduation for the class of 1978. The sen- iors exchanged hurried hugs, as nervous hands joined for their final march from the security of high school. No one noticed the chilly air or overcast skies as the diplomas were awarded one by one. As each senior received a diploma, the look of nervous excitement from earli- er in the day was replaced by a more sol- emn look of reverence in his or her eyes. As if to honor the new graduates, the sun broke through the cloud cover, casting a golden glow on the class of 1978. Smiling friends and tearful parents waited to con- gratulate the class. For all involved it was the end of an era, the beginning of a future. 17 Well girls, we did it! The choir sings for graduates.
