This year's Fine Arts Winter Carnival at Lincoln was bigger and better than ever. Throughout the week of February 13-18. artists, performers and groups of all kinds demonstrated their specialties each hour of each day. The school was filled with artists of every kind. Sculptors, dancers, weavers, magicians, guitarists, jugglers, printmakers. musicians, potters, pianists, escape artists, actresses, poets and jewelers all enter- tained the student body during this fascinating, but educational week. Talent from many of our own Lincoln students was displayed during the entire week. Typing students demonstrated mystery puzzle pictures, a co-op class showed students the art of cake decorating, and there was an ice sculpting contest held in the courtyard. The Lincoln choirs, bands, and orchestra all gave special evening performances during the week. Student art. including paintings, sculptures, pottery, drawings and T- shirts were displayed in the foyer all week Thanks to art teacher Betty Brenner, who organized the whole festival, the artists who performed, and the interest and cooperation of the entire student body, the week was a huge success.
