A SPARK IN THE DARK This year's homecom- ing was enlightend by a Spark in the Dark . That was the title of the 1976 Lincoln Homecoming Dance. Couples danced as the band, Montana Starr , played country western music. Some couples wandered out to the courtyard just to relax. The dance started at nine-thirty and was over at eleven-thirty. But the magic did not end there. Many couples topped off the night by dining at some of Bloomington's finest restaurants. The dance was a huge success due to the enthusiasm and spirit of all who participated. It was an event never to be forgotten. Couples dance In the enchantment of the evening. King and Queen reigning their The dance of the Royalty. Are you blowing in my ear? throne. Couples relaxing under the stars. And he says we're going to McDonalds afterward! 16

SADIE STOMPS AGAIN! Woo-ie! The Sadie Hawkins dance of '76 was a boot-stompin, skirt swo- oshing all around good time. The hillbillies from Lincoln came down from the hills and gathered around for a night of fun. Over-alls, cut-offs, long-underwear and of course the garters were some of the attire worn. The good ole hitch- in booth was there but this year it came along with your option of a divorce. The band Fame really got the hoe-down on the road, dancing, swinging, and just a lot of good ole' fool- ing around was found at this years Sadie. Girls, you really got 'em this year! The performing band “Fame 18 I'm gonna kill him! You're stuck with her now.
