Homecoming Events The day's homecoming events began with homeroom door decorating. Halls were flooded with paper branches, and feathers, as homerooms attempted to illustrate the homecoming slogan, Beary the Falcon's feathers”. Judged by members of Lincoln's maintenance staff and office workers, the top door prize” (a shake for each student) was awarded to Mrs. Villela’s first hour Spanish class, poor Mr. Hornig!! During the advisor period, a special pepfest added enthusiasm to the student body. The Bruinettes performed another unique, innovative routine to Evil Ways.” The varsity cheerleaders led the students in cheers for the coming game. Rocky” Elton followed in close second, displaying his famous Viking paraphernalia for the first time this year. Of course, the Sophomore cheerleaders received their share of paper airplanes, making only partial fools of themselves. Sixth hour, the marching band paraded around the halls, to conclude our annual homecoming traditions. The mighty Rocky lead cheer at the pepfest. Betsy Hartman enjoys the pepfest. Meg and Rick return from the football field. Lincoln cheerleaders do the Hustle. Homecoming spirit brings new door decorations. Car decoration, a lost tradition. Homaeoming 16

Whispering Winds On Friday, September 24, a hundred couples gathered together to share their excitement at the end of the Homecoming festivities. The band, Moonglow, provided music for Lincoln's students from 9:30 to 11:30, playing a variety of music from the big band era. The couples danced around the center court, which was occupied by the king and queen. The students looked quite stylish in their attire and their enthusiasm helped to make Lincoln's Homecoming a success. Kathy Jacobsen and her date. Why aren't you dancing? Tina Picpcr and Mike Benz.
