Day Damaged by Rain Homecoming day festivities began early Friday morning. Oc- tober 4, as doors, walls, and lights were decorated. Mr. Hor- nig’s room took first place in the contest. Festivities con- tinued in the afternoon as the royalty led the parade around the football field during the pep fest. When the game got un- der way. “Bearfoot on the Park was our intention. Lincoln struggled against the St. Louis Park Orioles to a 17-0 loss for the Bears. Later in the evening the mood quieted down. Students danced to the music of Spark at the Homecoming Dance. Football players Angell. Goihl and Norris decorate Mike Lottus' Olds. Scott Dobesh‘s thoughts at Lincoln Instead of Jefferson. Guarding the entrance to Mr. Hornig’s door, this Bear secured first place. In a quieter mood. Deanna Carlson and date d to the music of Spark. Though slightly soggy. Lincoln fans persevere 16 Homecoming

Excitement Continues At Climatic Festivities Suspense and excitement along with tears and laughter set the mood for Homecoming Coronation. Music started. Annette Ruhme and the bear carried the flaming torch to the stage before the breathless crowd. The sophomore and junior attendants entered, followed by the King and Queen candidates. 1973 Royalty. Queen Kim Elton and King Rick Larson completed their final walk. Tommy Knisely carried the envelope containing the names of the 1974 King and Queen to the front, where Kim and Rick finally crowned Linda Stowman and Dave Albers as the new Royalty. Junior Attendants: Ann Qaliogty and Tim Rathgo Queen Linda Stowman and King Dave Albers taking their first walk as reigning royalty. Princess Sue Jensen escorted by Prince Randy Rystad Princess Jill Smiler and Prince Scott Morvig un- der the arch Homecoming 15
