She was called upon to care for illnesses ranging from broken knees to headaches and spring fever. The clerks at Lincoln had the responsibility of running the high school office. They Kept LHS Clean and Fed The custodians worked throughout both day and night to keep Lincoln in shining condition. Although often taken for granted, the services of the custodians were always in demand. The cooks had the task of preparing nutritious lunches for 2400 students each day. They made the lunch hour interesting, as no two lunches were identical. The cooks also prepared and served breakfast and after-school snacks. Top left: Mr. Vober, head custodian, listens to a problem. Bottom loft: Mrs. Ry- man, head cook, pre- pared foods in addition to supervising the rest of the lunch. 25
