Bottom row L to R—Eric Givens, Kenny Chambers, Kenny Brown, and Don Smith. Coaches L to R—Dennis Bellinger, Steve Sullivan, Don Wooldridge, and Willie Hoskins. The LCHS Football team had a successful season this year. They had a regular season 11-0 and played one district game against Cawood which we won 7-0, and the other came against Ft. Thomas Highlands in the State finals which we lost 14-0. Nevertheless, the football team ended with a record of 12-1 overall; the best record- ed season ever at LCHS. Eric Givens one of the seniors made the All-State team as a defen- sive back. Coach Wooldridge's record at LCHS stands at 29-7 over- all; he now has a span of 14 consecutive wins while coaching at LCHS. The football squad will be giving up 17 seniors this year. 79 81 VARSITY BASKETBALL SQUAD 1st. row: L to R: Bobby Wilkinson, mgr.. Gory Wilkinson, Don Story, Eric Givens. Brian Walls, and Coach Jim Baird. 82 Seniors Lionel Miller, Paul Young, Don Story, not pictured Eric Givens The Lincoln County Patriots had a season record of 15-11. This is a very good record considering the fact that they had only two starters back from a team which won just seven games. The three new starters came on strong as they gained experience as the season progressed. The ream looses four seniors, but will return two starters and three other players that lettered this year. They should receive strong support from a fine group of sophomores and juniors that lost only one game playing as the junior varsity. The Patriots are, therefore, expecting next season to be a very successful year. Coach Wilder 83 84 GET HIM GOOD!!! OH NO!!! Jessica Board, and Janie Foley 86 87 SENIOR LADY PATS Rhonda Cloyd, Karen Brown, Kim Sears, and Tammy Norton. The Lincoln County Lady Pats finished their season with a record of nine and fourteen. However, they were runners up in the Boyle County Invitational Tournament, and winners of the 46th District Tournament over a tough Casey County team. The team started out very inexperienced and im- proved steadily as they gained experience. They worked hard throughout the year and were never guilty of showing any quitting attitudes. The team looses three seniors this year; however, they return five lettermen who have played a lot. They should have a nice year next year and are anxiously awaiting the oncoming season. 88 68 BASEBALL TEAM Dan Story, Mike Hardwick. Since this was the first year Lincoln Coun- ty has had a girl’s tennis team, we were inexperienced with only one senior, one ju- nior, and seven freshmen. But we worked hard and enjoyed playing, regardless of who won. We played in two tournaments and had a total of ten matches. The team has poten- tial and we have high hopes for the future. 99 Did you get it! . . .
