“HOMECOMING 85 On what seemed to be the rainiest day of the year, the 1985 Homecoming took place. The parade stepped off at 6:00 p.m. from the school, winding around town en route to the football field. After arriving at the field, cheers were done to keep the school spirit alive. Spirit was really shown when the contests were held. Between the contests the King and Queen were announced. Jana Meyer was crowned Queen by Nyla Rein- hart, 1961 Queen, and Chris Boyd was crowned by Keith Nanke, the 1961 King. After the crown- ing, the senior class let the balloons go from their float as a symbol of pride. The week's climax came to a peak Saturday night at Lincoln's annual Homecoming Dance. Students were twirling among the balloons and tinsel to the music provided by KCRG. During the middle of the dance came the official crown- ing of the King and Queen. The 1985 Homecoming Court: John Butler, Jackie Mertka, Bob Hanks, Debbi Sander, Jana Meyer, Chris Boyd, Sheri Flynn, Brad Jackson. : : ee a : et a oe 30 Sponsored by: Lincoln Student Council
