Smiling buddies! The Clydesdales are behind the Class of I'll be real thirsty after all these stairs On May 28, in the early morning while most people were sleeping, 39 seniors boarded a chartered bus headed to St. Louis for their class trip After arriving over an hour too early to tour the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, the seniors were turned loose in downtown St. Louis to do whatever they chose. After the free sample at the Brewery (pop, of course), the group checked in the Ramada Inn. When the settling in was completed, they traveled back to the heart of the city to the Spaghetti Factory. Then, of course, back to the hotel to relax. Video games, pool tables, a swimming pool, a whirl pool, and a sauna were available for use by the group Wednesday, for those who wanted breakfast, the bus went to a Ponderosa for a buffet. That day was left to be spent either at Six Flags, at the hotel, or both since the hotel was located adjacent to the park Thursday, breakfast was available again at Ponderosa; then the class was bussed to the Gateway Arch. The tram elevated them to the top where they could see for miles. Some ate at the McDonalds on the Mississippi River in their free time. Once more the class boarded the bus, this time taking them to their last stop — the St. Louis Zoo. Since the weather was not cooperative, the group only stayed for an hour before heading for home.
