After the booklet was finished they designed their own cover. Rocks and minerals were studied in science. In social studies, they did a unit on lowa History. When they completed the unit, a program called “Alice in lowaland”’ was presented to the community. Candy bars were sold as a fund raiser to help pay their way to Des Moines to see the state capitol and the sci- ence planetarium. At right: Must be an interesting lecture.
