SOUTH PACIFIC April 17th was the opening night for a cast and crew of anxious people ready to give the audience two hours of entertainment they would remember and enjoy. The experience was one that many will remember because everyone worked so hard to make SOUTH PACIFIC a success. It was a success, but I'm sure the memories will probably not be of the work alone, but of the fun everyone had at rehearsals and during the performances. To all of the directors, accompanists, crew members, and members of the cast - Good Job! DREAM ON Are we going to have a band for prom Is the band Fanfare? Helix? These were some. of the questions students and teachers were asking as prom night came closer and closer. We did get a band that night by the name of ''Magic. ' The Lincoln Prom was held at the Roosevelt Royale in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on April 992 We were welcomed by the Junior Class President, Kerry Koch. Then the Senior Class President, John Licht, gave the response. We were all happy to learn that Dee Ann Glover, Junior Class Vice President, was ready to give the invocation which meant we were ready to eat. After our meal, John Licht and Mike Doser read the Senior Class Will. Bruce Seehusen then read the Junior Class Prophecies. The junior class had also managed to get some baby pictures of the senior class and posted them along with each senior's senior picture. The band started to play about this time and one of their songs they played was the theme song 'Dream On. ' About midnight the Lincoln buses pulled out from the Roosevelt Royale and headed towards home. The night was still young and was to bring more excitement. Prom turned out to be one of the fondest memories of the year.
