FFA Sweetheart Dance Surprises, Surprises, that's what the FFA Sweetheart Dance is all about. This year we really had some smart looking girls to represent the Lincoln Chapter. The candidates were Denise Cook, Tammy Thomson, and Carol Pruess. This year we had one girl, Cindy Hay, from Olin since the Lincoln Chapter consists of both schools. On the night of February 26, about 10 o'clock, Tom Poduska introduced the candidates and their escorts. The moment was about to happen . Carol Pruess was chosen as the '77-'78 Sweetheart. Carol was given her jacket and one dozen red roses. Left to right bottom - Dan Driscoll, Denise Cook, President Jeff Odeen, '76-'77 Sweetheart Kaylene Jilovec, Tammy Thomson, Dennis Coppess. The Sweetheart represents the Chapter at various shows. She is chosen by the Chapter and if their fathers are engaged in farming. The Chapter selects the girls on personality and their farming experiences.
