From Across The Atlantic ... Staying with us from two European countries this past year were Anne Seebach and Bart Decaluwé! Anne came from Logten, Denmark, In Logten, she lives with her parents, Agnete and Ib, and her two bro- thers - Peter and Poul. While in America, Anne stayed with Mr, and Mrs, Calvin Robinson, Kris, Kelly and Kurt, Anne's year was hectic at times, but a lot of fun too, She enjoyed trying new American foods and found she especially liked beef and pizza. In her spare time, Anne likes to knit and crochet, Anne's male counterpart in our exchange program, Bart Decaluwe, came from the Flemish part of Bel- gium in northwestern Europe, Bart's American home was made with the Richard Lev- ander family. Bart felt right at home with Levander's five children as he comes from a family of nine him- self. He has two sisters, Mieke and Anneke, and four brothers, Jan, Piet, Nico and Jos. In his spare time, Bart enjoys reading, swimming, or just goofing around . Both Anne and Bart celebrated their eighteenth birth- days while in the states, Anne's birthday was Septem- ber 29, and Bart's birthday was December 31, Plans for the future include further education for each; both Anne and Bart plan to major in education. Bee We He he ke i eK We OK oe He As the sun sank into the sky and the stars came out, one by one five buses pulled up to the Hilton Inn in Coralville. This was the beginning of a night to remember. The theme for the Jun- ior- Senior Prom was We May Never Pass This Way Again , Junior Class President Dale Broulik gave the welcome and Senior Class President Tom Donohoe answered the the response. Vic Randolph gave the In- vocation, after which the Hilton employees served a buffet-style dinner, When everyone was fin- ished eating Rick Boots read the Junior Class Prophecy. Following the prophecy Tom Don- ohoe read the Senior Class Will. Music was provided by a group from Davenport, called Cathedral. The opening song followed the prom theme. “= 4 eBoy, Ye ” At midnight when the moon was high in the sky and stars filled the sky five buses pulled away from the Hilton Inn.
