A GOOD HIGH SCHOOL PROVIDES PREPARATION FOR FUTURE LIFE THROUGH THE AID OF MANY VARIOUS PROGRAMS. FOREMOST IS THE SCHOLASTIC PREPARA- TION A 'STUDENT RECEIVES THROUGH THE COURSES OF STUDY HE SELECTS. THIS PREPARES HIM FOR HIS LIFE TO COME, EITHER IN COLLEGE, IN THE BUSINESS WORLD, OR IN THE HOME. SPORTS ACTIVITIES PREPARE SOME STU- DENTS FOR FUTURES IN THE PROFESSIONS OF FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, AND BASE- BALL. SPORTSMANSHIP AND RULES OF THE GAMES ARE TAUGHT TO THOSE PARTI- CIPATING IN SPORTS. PREPARATION IN LEADERSHIP AND IN THE BUILDING OF GOOD CHARACTER CAN BE RECEIVED THROUGH THE MANY CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS OF A HIGH SCHOOL. AS ONE READS THE 1962 LINCOLNITE, HE WILL SEE WAYS THROUGH WHICH HIS HIGH SCHOOL PREPARES HIM FOR THE FUTURE.
