I IN MEMO RY FOR HIS OF JACK BASS SPARKLING HUMOR DEVOTION TO TEACHING CONTAGIOUS LOVE OF LIFE PERSONAL CONCERN FOR OTHERS WE DEDICATE THIS HIS LAST LIN COLNITE Down deep in our hearts we know you are gone, But always your memory will linger on. You will be missed and thought of each day. We shall walk into the room where we were greeted so gay, But no smiling face will be there to say, Where have you been? , just an empty chair where you always sat, And-oh the sorrow of that! They have gone to contests both district and state, and were a major part of the Easter Program and have given several assemblies throughout the year. Different ensembles have also gone to sing for some clubs of Lincoln. The music department has been under the dir- ection of Mr. David Walter. This is Mr. Walter's first year at Lincoln, and he has done a Wonder- ful job with the choruses and ensembles. The Girl's Athletic Association of L. C. H. S. spon- sored by Mrs. Bonnie Hellhake, is a very popular organization with many girls of the school. Those who enjoy sports attend the activities which are pro- vided for them twice a week for every week in the school year. Metals and letters can be acquired if members collect enough points from attending the activities. Girls Who are not participants of the club, and who enjoy having fun and keeping fit, should think about becoming members in the future. Some students take advantage of the op- portunity to participate in the numerous sports. For the sport participates, many hours of hardwork are required to earn a team victory. The student spectators look for- ward to these events as a time to encourage the team and enjoy the performance of the band. After the games or on special occasions, dances provide entertainment for any stu- dent seeking it. The drarnatics and musical 'organizations take advantage of the evening hours to re- hearse their many presentations.
