Through Those Tender Years As the class rooms empty and the doors are closed upon the 1954 Semor Class we just begm to understand the changes that have taken place over the last four years Thls has been a perlod ln our hves that shall never agam be equalled Forgotten now are the trlals and trlbulatlons whlch we have gone through to reach thls polnt Also forgotten IS the feellng we all had as Fresh men a feelmg of uncertamty and not belongmg that sometxmes seemed unbearable Inst1nct1vely we drew away and yet trled to go along wlth the tlde of events L1ke an angry ocean the waves of despaxr settled as the Sophomore year approached At last we belonged barrlers were broken and new doors were opened to us so we no longer were looked down upon as lgnorant lnfants Txme marched on and brought wxth It the Jolly Jumor year Now we were consldered as ln solld the back bone of the hlgh school as upperclassmen our welght was felt ln every fleld The aspect of llfe seemed brlght and shmmg But behold as semors we agaln face that dreaded un certamty of the future and never before have we felt the dearness of our care free school days For many of us the doors of a school shall not open agaln whlle for others thls IS Just the be gmnmg Let us look back 1n the days to come remembermg all the good fortune and help we have been gnven so recently H D!
