I he Miss Whetsler with thirty one years of faithful service resigned from the teaching pro fession She had taught in the English depart ment serving as department head for many years She was the advisor of the honor society and librarian for some time Miss Whetsler first began the advanced composition classes She taught French and helped with the Railsplltter for several years Her understanding of the stu dents and the inspiration she has given will never be forgotten AQ- Abit-I Miss Koehnle's death on October 26, brought much sadness to L.C.H.S. She will be long re- membered for the fine service she gave to her school and community. She had a deep interest in the welfare of the students. One of the out- standing things she had done was her organiza- tion of remedial English which has helped many. Miss Koehnle sponsored the Railsplitter for sev- enteen years and the Lincolnite for ten years. During her thirty-eight years on the faculty, she also taught physical and commercial geography and home economics. This passage of scripture comes to mind when thinking of her: Well done, thou good and faithful ser- vantg thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make you a ruler over many. Enter thou into the house of the Lord.
