The English department has the largest number of teachers since most all of the stu dents take English Miss Whetsler until her re cent illness directed the group as the Head of the Department Advanced courses of compo s1t1on and English Literature were taught by her Now Mrs Ryman and Mr Moss teach these classes Miss Leininger has the Junior classes in American Literature besides several Freshman groups Miss Wilson and Mr Still VOCATIONAL The vocational teachers are Miss Houston. who directs the girls' problems in the theory of cooking as well as the practice of cookery, Miss Withers, thc new clothing instructor who helps the girls plan and make their wardrobes and Mr. Alde who plans and directs the boys in building trades as well as manual training. Mr. Splain helps the boys with their special projects.
