FOREWORD As the school year once more draws to a close, and one class leaves high school never to enter as students again, that is the time fcn' memories. With this thought in mind, we, the Lincolnite Staff of 1947, present to the students, faculty, and friends of Lincoln Community High School the thirty-third edition of the high school annual. DEDICATION To the Freedom from Discrimination because of Race, Religion, or Nationality, we, the class of '47, proudly dedicate this thirty-third edition of the Lincolnite. In the athletic events and other extra-cur- ricular activities of our own school, one sees that a person of any race can find a place. The Easter program presented by the Religious Education council shows that people of all religions can work together to produce something worth-while. And what is this idea of one nationality being better than another? Aren't we all Americans, regard- less of which flag the ship bringing our ancestors, flew? If everyone, everywhere, could learn what we at LCHS have already learned, perhaps we would gain the peace that everyone wants.
