THE LINCOLNITE BOARD OF EDUCATION BOARD OF EDUCATION To the ayerage student who comes to school every day, studies, and goes home in the evening, the thought never occurs of what makes the school run smoothly, and function systematically. The answer to this is the Board of Education. On the second Monday of every month there is a meeting to plan the schools program, select the faculty, and pay the bills. These meetings are called Board Meetings, and the men present are known as the Board of Education. These men are selected by your mothers and fathers to di- rect the schools that are provided for by their taxes. They meet with Mr. Handlin who carries out the proposed programs. One of the latest considerations of the Board is the possibility of making an addition to the school building. Be- cause of building supply shortages this plan is still in the blueprint stage, but it may someday become a reality. And if it does it will be through the efforts of the Board of Education.
