THERE ALSO CAME a time of crisis in the dormitories, when one house- mother left to get married, and another, who took ill, left to get well. ln Forsythe the guys ripped out the plumbing and TV, in Hoyle they enjoyed their freedom for a while, and in Olin Sang they drank in the rooms. On Weekends the dorm councils held record hops, complete with refreshments, on nights when everyone 15 C. C I. . y V.: 'Ki'5 'L ,X .. night- had left for home and there was nothing doing elsewhere. For liquid refreshment we were not lacking. Everyone was 21, and Harrisl, A.J.,s, and Grannyis were the places to go. Those who werenlt tall enough for the bar used the soccer field, the tracks, or the friendl' nearby cornfields. ff ,
