University Hall started in 1865 has served its first century. David H. Harts Science Hall, to be completed in 1964, will, appropriately, welcome its first students at the start of the Centennial year. Both buildings - the honored old, the sparkling new - represent faith in higher education and in the constant values of the human spirit. Both represent unseltish giving - in 1864 by men and women who were movers in an expanding pioneer area still on the western frontier, in 1964 by men and women who have seen the frontiers move into inter-planetary space. The old stands as a proud veteran still serv' ing the dreams of the college's founders, the new will rise next to it to serve yet unborn dreams 5 0 0 0 0 f f ffl 1 1 If I - J , A j . f It if 'fl.E..H X , f ' f' -'C .. ,ei ' . r , f X ' 7 5- 'f .
