SPECIAL VISITS: KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE EATING AFTER THE K. C. C. = Le Be Ie GAME. Each year at mid-semester the basketball squad takes a week to visit several of our sister Bible colleges. The association brings us closer to- gether and we are grateful for this means of contact. This year’s tour included Butler School of Religion in Indianapolis; Kentucky Christian College in Gray- son, Ky; the College of the Scriptures in Louisville, Ky; and Atlanta Christian College in Atlanta, Georgia. The boys not only play ball but they also know how to sing. They are shown presenting a program for the Grundy Mountain Mis- sion, Grundy, Virginia. SPECIAL WEEHS: COURTESY CAMPAIGN In order to learn all the names of the almost two hundred students of L.B.I. the Student Council in- troduced “Name Week.” For the first two days of the week each student wore a name tag with the inscription, “Howdy, I’m ¥ and his name. Beginning Thursday, everyone got five red ribbons and the privilege of asking any other prospect the oft - embarrassing question, “What’s my name?” Penalty for the wrong answer was to part with one ribbon. Nona Railsback is pictured giving up a ribbon to Eloise Quandt, who won the contest with twenty -nine rib- bons. Looking on is Roland Flor- ence, who came in second with twenty -five ribbons. Eloise said, “Everyone remembered ‘Elly’ but missed the ‘Quandt’.” NAME WEEK ee ee ee Re Pewee. ee a te Pe Tan cee Close to the beginning of the second semester the Student Council instituted a concentrated effort to improve the manners of L.B.I. students. Posters were placed about to remind forgetful students and two unknown persons were selected to observe the stu- dent body. Each week the most courteous student received a token of recognition and appreciation. Pictured is Dwight Hazlett as he reaches the “Sir Walter Raleigh” per- fection of courtesy by spreading his cloak for Jeanetta Williams. They were the winners of the first two weeks of the Courtesy Cam- paign.
