THE PRESIDENTS Messabt Aswe look back over the year 1949-1950, we see a record of growth from a spiritual as well as a physical standpoint. This year willbe remembered because of the beginning of the building program of the Lincoln Bible Institute. Our students and friends joined hands to starta program to take care of the physical needs of the school. It is necessary to have adequate building, but we cannot forget our real purpose. We must always remind each other that the purpose of Lincoln Bible Institute is to train Chris- tian workers who can preach and teach the glorious Gospel of salvation. To be able to accomplish this purpose all must grow spiritually, physically, socially and mentally. For this reason the committee who planned this book is to be congratulated on the theme of this year’s Life Line. We cannot be true servants serving in the best possible way unless we develop a full-grown Christian character. Therefore, letus press on to be more like the Master that we be able to lead many to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, never forgetting that what the world needs is Jesus and that we have the priviledge and responsibility to give Christ to the lost. “Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with sogreata cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth soeasily besetus, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath set down at the right hand of the throne of God”.
