Homecoming Queen Jackie Brown and King Brian Kearney flash a smile. Homecoming Raindrops don't dampen spirit Excitement, anticipation and doubt — all of these were a part of the homecoming spirit. Homecoming was finally here again. The festivities started out with a show to intro- duce the royalty. Then as the football team was introduced, the crowd went into hysterics. The team showed that they were number one as they waved their fingers high and proud in the air. The next night was the big game against O’Hara. The crowd was skeptical about beating the Celtics for homecoming. The Tigers dug in but were down at half time. As the royalty winners were announced, Brian Kearney and Jackie Brown emerged as King and Queen. During the second half it started to rain. “Instead of dampening the spirit it seemed to enlighten them,” said Beth Dawson, junior. Despite the rain the Tigers went on to defeat O’Hara. As the final seconds ticked off a jubilant crowd ran out on the field to congratulate their Tigers.
