Seniors Vonda Emmanuel, Cassandra Harston, Rosaline Madden, Ray Richard, Carolyn Burk, and Elizabeth Kohler converse on the school's front steps about their senior year. Killer Price describes a play during a lull in the Homecoming Game. ie, encuAAance As days turned to weeks, a closer day was coming, and that date was August 25, 1982 where you would meet all the new students and teachers. You would get a chance to see what teachers were still here and what teachers were not and even which ones taught a different subject. Since Reagan had been cutting funds on the em- ployment programs, there were not many businesses or companies hiring. It really was hurting the seniors, because they would have to pay for announcements and class rings, all the good things that seniors purchase. For most students it would be a chance to see who was more into de- signer clothes or who was still wearing the plain pocket jeans and T shirts. “The Lee jeans are in style now, simply because they are sporty and they aren’t as expensive as designer jeans,” said Sheila Fitz- gerald, senior.
