The Story of Sixty-Three The story of Sixty-Three, like preceding stories, is the story of a school with deep, strong, and productive roots. More important, it is the story of boys and girls proud of the depth, strength and productiveness of their roots; secure in the knowledge that as they have nutured so will they nuture them. It is, also, the story of dedicated and inspired teachers and administrators, who give of their time and energies freely and enthusiastically. For they are motivated by love for and devotion to duty. Adventures in learning and growing up took up the greater part of the time. Concentrated study was provided to develop our minds; desirable play activities were provided to develop our bodies; worthwhile leisure time activities were provided to develop our spiritual, esthestic and moral being. A peek in the classrooms shows some of us busily engaged in reading, writing and arithmetic. Another peek will show study on a more advanced level--in the science laboratory, in the language laboratory, in the homemaking laboratory, in the photographic dark room or in the drafting room. Clubs of various kinds complement work in the classroom and make adventures in learning and growing-up pleasant and enjoyable. All good things must come to an end and so it is with our high school education. But this is not the end of our story. Graduation marks the end of childhood and adolescence and signals the beginning of adulthood. We are certain that the nature of adulthood will be influenced greatly by the experiences of our childhood and adolescence. We do not fear the future; we welcome it with courage and enthusiasm.
