Freshmen fx 0.1.- beft to right: Elaine Howard, Margery Sawyer, Leland Axelson, Fred Wildes, Shirley Lane, Loretta Black, Mr. Mahoney, Advisor, Standing: Calvin Lewis, Donald John- son, Barbara Jensen, Reginald Harmon, William Karcher, Larry Harmon, Roberta Nor- ton, John Colby, Rodney Brown, Gary Perkins. The Freshman Class entered Limington Academy with fifteen pupils. One more joined us in November, increasing our number to sixteen. Freshman Reception was quite an affair. We dressed up in old clothes and paraded over most of town. Later at the reception proper the Sophomores had a lot of fun at our expense. Our class officers are: President, Leland Axelsong Vice President, Fred Wildesg Sec- retary, Margery Sawyer, and Treasurer, Shirley Lane. Our representatives to the Student Council are: Leland Axelson, Calvin Lewis, and Rodney Brown. On the boys' basketball team are: Donald Johnson, Fred Wildes, Calvin Lewis, Reginald Harmon and Rodney Brown - co-manager. Girls playing basketball are: Margery Sawyer, Shirley Lane, Roberta Norton, and Loretta Black. Cheerleading are: Shirley Lane and Roberta Norton. On the baseball team are: Rodney Brown, Fred Wildes, Calvin Lewis, Reginald Harmon, Donald Johnson, and John Colby. Fred Wildes was one cf the three who represented our academy in the League Spelling Contest held at Limerick High School. Mr. Mahoney is our advisor and we wish to thank him for his encouragement and guidance.

Standing: Sandra Howard, Irene Gammon, Gerald Gammon, Ralph Chick, Ronald Hubbard, Patsy Hubbard,Natalie Mayo. Absent when picture was taken: Eugene Harmon, William Bucldey. The class of 1960 started its second year with fourteen members, one of whom dropped out during the year. At our first class meeting we elected the following offi- cers: President, Michael Sawyerg Vice President, John Pariseaug Secretary, Gloria Blackg and Treasurer, Janice Hubbard. On September 27 we initiated the Freshmen and the reception following closed with a dance and great fun for all. We have two fund raising activities in preparation, The following are on the Student Council- Natalie Mayo, Irene Gammon, and Michael Sawyer. Janice Hubbard, Natalie Mayo, Irene Gammon, and Michael Sawyer partici- pated in basketball. Irene Gammon was a cheerleader. Gloria Black was one of three who represented our school at the spelling contest. Gerald Gammon, Eugene Harmon, Ronald Hubbard, John Pariseau, and Michael Sawyer played on the baseball team. The Class of 1960 is grateful to Mrs. Morgan, our advisor, for helping us during this past year.

Calvin Lewis, Rodney Brown, John Evans, Michael Sawyer, Leland Axelson, and Ray- mond Iohnsou. - The organization of the Student Council was revived this year by our new princi- pal, Mr. Wood. It has worked in close cooperation with the Faculty and Mr. Wood in various administrative aspects of our school life. Most noteworthy has been its spon- sorship of all-student-body activities held throughout the year which have not only given much enjoyment but have welded the school into a closer knit group and also greatly enhanced school spirit and sportsmanship.
