The Class of 1960 entered Limington Academy on September 4, 1956, fifteen students strong. We were initiated by the sophomores at Freshman Reception on September 28, at the Harold B. Emery Jr. Memorial School and suffered many indignities at their hands. However, a pleasant dance followed the reception and soothed our feelings. At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President, John Pariseaug Vice President, Richard Karcherg Secretary, Janice Hubbard, and Treasurer, Bonnie Edgecomb. We had a strong turnout for both girls' and boys' basketball. Participating were Gloria Black, Bonnie Edgecomb, Irene Gammon, Janice Hubbard, Natalie Mayo, Gerald Gammon, Eugene Harmon, Richard Karcher, John Pariseau and Michael Sawyer. Cheerleaders from our class included Bonnie Edgecomb and Natalie Mayo. The Class of 1960 is grateful to Mr. Mahoney, our advisor, for the help he has given us all year.
