Seated, left to right: Georgia Lane, Bonnie McKenny, Roger Braley, Marie Martell. Standing: Karen Perkins, Donna Jordan, Mr. John McDonald, Advisor, Patricia Dearborn, Peggy Grover. The Class of 1959 started its second high school year with ten students, two of whom dropped out during the year. At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President, Bonnie McKenny: Vice President, Roger Braleyg Secretary, Georgia Laney and Treasurer, Marie Martell. On September 28, 1956, we got our activities going with Freshman Initiation. We did our best to make spectacles of them by parading them around town in the afternoon in rags, wigs and painted faces. The reception took place that evening and was followed by a dance, with music furnished by the town orchestra. It was great fun, even for the freshmen and quite successful. The Sophomore class contributed the services of its outstanding boy, Roger Braley, to the school basketball team. The Class of 1959 is grateful to its class advisor, Mr. McDonald, for his help during the year, as well as to the other teachers for their time and effort on our be- half.
