EDITORIAL Thls IS an ed1tor1al In yearbooks these are usually consldered rather dry and unlnterestmg But l1ke most thmgs they have a good purpose Ewen 1f thls partlcular ed1tor1al IS left untll last to be read lt can st1ll serve lts purposes both of bormg some readers and havlng a speclal meamng for others It seems to be an unchangeable fact that we humans often do not ap preclate at the proper tlme the help glven us by others We begln to appre cxate thelr k1ndnesses years later when the effect becomes not1ceable So It has been Wlth many of us of the class of 55 It may be a llttle late but we would hke to say Thank you very slncerely to our parents and frlends for thelr past klndnesses It has been only dur1ng the last few years that the effect of your help has become notlceable to us thus fmaklng us aware of the fact that some where along the way we have had some help wh1ch was unappreclated un t1l now What effect has your help had on us Just thls Every lncldent no matter how slmple and commonplace lt may be becomes a part of us Whether It has a good or bad mfluence upon us depends much upon 1tS chlef source you older people We need to have an lncentlve to lead honest decent hves and lt IS much easler to follow a. real Image than the dreamy :deals pamted ln our mmds long ago It IS fortunate for us that we can see Senlors are supposed to set the standards for the other classes but chd you know we ve been advlsed on several occaslons to act more l1ke you underclassmen When we leave and you take our place mlss us a llttle vs 1ll you? Whoever sald School isnt too bad 1tS Just the pr1nc1pal of the thlng was all wrong At least about you Mr Burdln No one could be more Just or more mterested ln h1s puplls than you All of our teachers should be thanked for thexr guldance Even though we may have lrked each other at tlmes now IS the tlme for us C the pupils, to admxt we ve been wrong more often than the members of the faculty There s one person who IS especlally deserv1ng of all the pralse we can g1ve her and that person IS Mrs Cook How she has been able to do so much for us and keep her patlence when we were so trylng wxll always be a klnd of mystery Thank you Mrs Cook Th1s IS probably the most formal 8111016 we shall wrlte as a class We are glad lt can be used to show appreclatlon of the thlllgs you have done for us If you were a dliferent k1nd of people It m1ght have been used to complam about the thlngs wh1ch you are able to provlde us wlth and Wlll not Thank you Parents and Frlendsl When we become adults may we be as wlse and klnd as you are We can say no more than th1s.
