The Ham Club was organized in Lirnestone High School so that the stu- dents interested in radio could get an understanding of radio by working with it. The club buys and makes radio equipment which is used by every mem- ber. Each member works individually to get his operations license so that he may broadcast over the air. To get a license a person must be able to dictate and receive thirteen- five letter words a minute. There are several laws pertaining to the work- ing of radio, such as the Ohrno law, that each member must know, A mem- ber must know some of the simpler radio symbols to be able to read radio diagrams, or drawings of a radio. The I-Iam Club meets once a week. The meeting is carried on in abusiness like manner, with a president presiding. Sometimes we use this time to work with our equipment. We meet irregularly, usually in small groups, to do most of our work with the radio sets.
