Lucky Closon. Butch Stalling . Glen Koeppe). Gary Chiuravalle. and Dan Hark loss all played some outflold for the Rockets. This year’s baseball season was a disappointment, as the Rockets finished undor 500. Although the season as a whole was disappointing, there were a few standouts. Performing a rare feat were Gary Moody and Rick Nowtson, as they both pitched no- hit games. Other standouts were Gary Chiaravalle, and Donnis Linsley. who both did a fine job at their positions, and at bat. The Rockets, with many good players returning, and with a good group of sophomores, should be fighting for a top spot in the MS9 next year. Marvin Davis was one of the Rocket's dedicated managers this year. Tho Rockots had four good catchers in Mike Schroedor. Scott Wittmer. Tho distance men worked hard on thore ovonts. To improve a track soason record is not one of the easiest things to do. To do it. it takos a lot of hard practice, good coaching, and a good team attitude toward the sport. This yoar. Limostono had a track team that had all of those things. The coaches, Mr. Fulk, Mr. Negely, and Mr. Kasap, all did a fine job, as the team improved its season record by four wins. The team was willing to prac- tice hard all season, and always did the best possible at track meets. The team worked together and had a good attitude and they wanted to win. The squad was a young one. with only two seniors. The team had standouts in Kevin Ledbetter, Tim Moody, and Ed Kellum, all of whom broke school records in their events. With many returning lettermen, the Rockets should be able to improve its record even more. Coach Kasap watches closely as his distance runners pass by. Kevin Ledbetter did an outstanding job In the high Jump, mile relay. low hurdlos. and high hurdles, in which ho placed 1st in tho Mid-State Nino. Coach Fulk did a fine job coaching the sprinters. Some go on to college, but others do not. After many years of preparation, they are ready to give all that they can to make this world better. Homecoming plays an important part in the lives of all seniors. This year the seniors had an active part in the production of the all-school float. The class of '73 did an outstanding job on their skit. The senior girls gave a lift to the Variety Show with their special skit. Deb Smith was chosen 1973 Homecoming Queen with Missi Miller as senior attendant. Seniors collected more toys for the Toys for Tots' drive at Christmas time. During Spirit week the seniors had the longest Spirit Chain. The seniors showed great spirit throughout the whole year. A job well done on leadership and organizing projects was done by the class officers: Harold Taylor, president: Neil Sullivan, vice-president: Janet Schultz, secretary: and Greg Barnett: treasurer.
