Dr. Andrew Jackson Eastwood was born in Clarksville, Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Following completion of his studies in the public school system of Virginia, Dr. Eastwood received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond. Economics was his chosen field while he was doing graduate work at the University of Virginia, where he received two degrees: Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy. For four years Dr. Eastwood served as high school principal in Virginia. He held the position of Assistant Professor Of Commerce at William and Mary College and Assistant Professor of Economics and Commerce at Hillsdale College in Michigan. Dr. Eastwood came to Limestone College in 1932 as Professor of History. Here he met Miss Winnie Wingo who, on October 4, 1934, became his wife. Dr. Eastwood had truly found a home. He became Acting President of Limestone College on April 1, 1953, and President on June 1, 1953. All of these facts fail to indicate just how much Dr. and Mrs. Eastwood have contributed to the Limestone Look. Their warm perso'nalities help daily to bring about the friendly atmosphere that is so much a part of Limestone. PRESIDENT AND MRS.
