CLASS HISTORY In the year l9h?, five scared members of the present Senior class were looking forward to their first year of school They were Margaret Mahan, J yce Lloyd, Torman Stevenson, Duane Borgan and Aileen Lovell In the fall of 56, the freshman Cla s consisted of twentr-four members ---- fourteen girls nd ten boys five new members joined the class-- -Luella Decker, Lrma Shal- fer, Beverly 5aum1.rtnner, george Decker and frank .U' L Beverly Baumgarthner moved away eazly in the yen- :or initiation everyone was dressed up as a co.i strip ch r- acter and Joyce Lloyd and Duane Borgan were given prizes for being the best dressed characters Raymond Pisney was awarded a prize for the best performance The class was represented 1n athletics, music, and publlcat ors AP Wilke served as our class sponsor Class offlcers were as follows President Joanne Uesseling, Vice President Raymond Pisney, Secretary Robert Eggerichs, Treasurer Norman Stevenson, Student Council Sandra Nauman The first activity for the twenty three memoers of the class of '57 was initiating the new Greenhorns The class also presented the Thanksgiving assemblr pro ra The program featured two one act plays and a chorus Sar dra Nauman was chosen President, and Norman Betty Willer,and Joyce Lloyd were elected Vice reslfent, Secretary and Treasurer, respectively Raymond risnex re presented the class on the Student Council Harlene liams also served on the council, as member at lar e r the entire h1gh school body In our Junior year our class presented the humorous p ay 'Cheaper by the Dozen Harlene Williams and Sarc a Nauman were chosen assistant editors of the Llttle Herald and the Comet respectlvelv Joanne Wesselina and Sand a Iauman attended the Dorian Instrumental Festlval s officers were Harlene Williams, President Jean icoll, Vice President, Betty Miller, Secretary, Erma Shaffer, .reasurer, and Sand vauman, Student Councll Reoresenta tive Ending the year for the class was the Junlor Senlor Banquet, 'Stalrmay to the Stars Harlene Williams was an ttendant to the Homecomlng Lueen At the start of our senlor ear, there ere 23 e wers i our class Richard Arndt and George Decker mc ec JO1H6d the lass Tom Wemette was our senior class pres dent Other class officers were Duane Borgan vi e presi dent, Jerrv Snow secretary Richard Arndt as treasurer w s replaced bv Lois Gansen Jean Nicoll, harlene Willlamsg Joyce Lloyd, and Sandy Nauman e e candidates for the ' Homecoming queen Jean was crowned queen with Sandy and Harlene attending A high light of the year was the senio lass l ide and Preju ce , w c was p esente n a On April 1 the class members were ,uests of the 1 n1o s for eir banquet, N nd of the Rainbow The vear e a glorious end shortly following our senior sc cax 'inneapolis, Day 8 9, and lO . o . .
