Its purpose is to promote good sportsmanship, perfect recreational and social skills, increase powers of self- direction and leadership, increase ability to get along with others and enjoy phy- sical activity as a medium of self-expression. GAA activities are held on Tuesday and Thursday and Intramural Bowling on Monday and Wednesday after school. Its membership includes girls in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes. These girls may participate in all or just a few activities throughout the year. Activities this year have included basketball, volleyball, bowling, trampoline, tumbling, etc. The All-Star Basketball game is the money making project that enables awards to be given in the annual GAA banquet. Miss Gladys Humpheys is the advisor and officers are Valerie Barnes, Presi- dent, Susan Rentz, Vice President, Jennie Collins, Secretary, Joyce Waggoner, Treasurer, and Joyce Hilgendorf, Intramural Manager. -147-
