It drew up a badly needed constitution whereby it could function successfully. Up until then there had been no definite procedure by which to choose its members democratically, or to conduct its meetings properly. This year's members were chosen by a committee consisting of several teachers and the officers, previously elected by the girls interested in the council. Besides producing their annual fashion show. the members campaigned for new silver- ware and helped other organizations in the purchase of new china. In the future these new table settings will be used at teachers' teas and other parties involving the school. lean MacDonell -100-

Homecoming and May King and Queen Before the Findlay-Central football game on October 12, 1951, Carolyn Allen and Bob Bassitt were crowned Homecoming Queen and King. The queen and her attendants, Marcia Snook and Lillian Fisher, were brought across the field on a large white float. When they reached the west stand, they stepped down and were met by the king and his courtiers, Mervyn Hawkins and Sonny Nanchoff. The president of the Student Council adorned the queen with a crown of baby orchids and the king with a wreath of olive leaves. Following the ceremony the queen reigned over the game. -K 'A' ir In April, 1951, Ioan Reed and Allen Kelly were crowned May Queen and King by the president of the Student Council.
