Seventh Y-Teens President - - Marilyn Ellis - - the backbone of the organization Vice-President - - - Peggy Harter - - - as nice as they come Secretary - Sue Welsh - always ready with her notebook and pencil Treasurer - - Ianice Katterheinrich - - - the brains of the crowd Inter-Club-Council Representative - Beverly Reed - a cute girl who was liked by everyone Advisor - - - - - - - - Miss Virginia Fisher Remember the girls who sold March of Dimes tags on the downtown streets one Saturday last winter? These were the forty-five Seventh Y-Teens' members, who, although they were new to Central, really went to work to become one of Central's most active organized groups. The club met every second and fourth Wednesday in room 349, or at the Y.W.C.A. To learn to work and play together in a Christian fellowship was the aim of the club. Some of the many activities in which the girls participated included collecting tax stamps, sending candy bars to Hong Kong, preparing a Christmas basket of groceries for a needy family, putting on an amateur program, sponsoring a White elephant sale, and producing cr playlet. Margaret Thompson 4: 1 -A' Library Club Advisor - - - ---- Miss Eleanor Leiter This year the Library Club was reorganized with the assistance of Central's librarian. The club was open to all students who were interested in library work. These students de- voted from one to five study halls a week to working in the library. The librarian gave them reference work, in order that they might be able to find reference material quickly and easily. They also checked books out, shelved them, and took fines. This experience qualified the student librarians for summer, or part-time jobs in a library. The assistants from both South and Central met at the Main Branch Library for a party during the Christmas holidays. After the group saw movies and toured the building, refresh- ments were served.
