The club, which was open to boys in grades nine through twelve, held its meetings at the Y.M.C.A. every Monday evening at eight o'clock. To create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and community, high standards of Christian character was the aim of this club. This year the club was unusually active. Some of its many activities were: conducting its induction services at Trinity Church, sponsoring the noon movies, selling concessions at the basketball games, sponsoring a Christmas party for underprivileged children, selling Lima Central balloons, sending delegates to the International Hi-Y Convention at Cleveland, and holding a wiener roast and swimming party. An example of this was to be found in their creed- to create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and community, high standards of Christian character . The twenty-seven boys, who were members of this group, met at the Y.M.C.A. in room 204 every Monday night. The boys chose all incoming members through balloting. Among the many activities in which the members of this Hi-Y participated were picnics, and refreshment parties, which were held once a month after their meetings. They also sold pennants, school license tags, basketball programs and operated the checkroom at Central's basketball games, the proceeds of which were presented to designated benefits.
