V V V x Published by the Senior Class of LILLIS HIGH SCHOOL Kansas City, Missouri Volume XI 1955 dedication What is a Lillis Student? A Lillis student is industry and an algebra problem, a hundred throbbing hearts at the Big Game, a crew cut and a class ring. A Lillis student is a mixture of chalkdust, pigskin, a semester exam, and a chain prayer. He's glory covered with mud, and the despair of English 4. She's the loudest voice in the pep club and the smallest voice in class. The Lillisite is a symobl of Things to Come. World Peace, and a Greater Love of God. To Youth reaching for a handful of stars, to the Lillis student, we dedicate this book. 3 ULLIS JOINS IS RECOGNITION IIP TRIPLE JUBILEE As the students of a diocesan school, Liillisites this year share in celebrating the centennial of their diocese, the golden sacerdotal jubilee of their prelate, and his silver episcopal anniversary. To the papal honors and national recog- nition accorded the newly-named Archbishop O'Hara, Lillis students add their grateful respect and proud congratulations. To Auxiliary Bishop Marling the Lillis - ites offer an appreciative vote of thanks for his consistent interest in their welfare. THE MOST REV. EDWIN V.
