The sands of time have run out for the Sen- ior days here at Lillington High and now we must turn to the future. This, the 1965 issue of the Footprints ,marks the end of an important phase of our lives. The scholastic challenges enabled us to vecome better students and to be prepared for a more successful future. Socially our interests were broadened and the many op- portunities we encountered have enriched our lives. Perhaps in the future when you look at this book, it will bring back pleasant memories and thus serve as a connecting link to the past, em- bodied with pleasant and fond memories. To the Clementary Teachers, we dedicate lhe Footprints of 1965 and from the depths of highest knowledge there burns a light of paitence . ae A hand stretched forth -- reaching, clutching, grasping to build and shape. These are the hands of those who spent the patient hours explaining while we sometimes giggled in our seats -- unconcerned. It is to these, the hands who molded our younger years, whose eyes of patience, tongues of knowledge, and hearts of love we dedicate the FOOTPRINTS OF 1965, Not as a reward--for you cannot be rewarded with words, but as a symbol of our humble appreciation, for each of you have been more than a friend--You have been an inspiration that will linger forever in our hearts and minds.
