MR, ATWELL M. BOOKMILLER Associate Superintendent From the earliest elementary grades through the final high school years, the students' education is guided by our capable, hard-working adminis- trators. In the early grades, the major goals are to instill curiosity into in- quiring young minds and establish the principles of good citizenship. The junior high years are a time of exploration into new problems and new subjects, when a whole new world of knowledge is opened. In the senior high, the maturing students are encouraged to take pride in their school, in their accomplishments, and in themselves, as maturing young men and women. Throughout this educa- tional span, the students benefit fromthe understanding and wealth of experience of the administrators. The school board as a policy-making organization is also a vital part of our school system, acting in the interest of the general public. The board establishes the fiscal and edu- cational basis on which the schools of our district operate, and functions to promote the social and intellectual growth of our students.
