CLASS HISTORY light switches to John Lewis, who has led his team to two state championships: and Alicia Adcock, Eastern Runner-up State Champion. Turn the center spotlight on the class officers: President, Levi Beckwith: Vice-President, Phillip McCullough: Secretary, Alicia Adcockg Assistant Secretary, Edna Thomas: Treasurer, Brenda Farrell: Parlia- mentarian, Phillip Holloway: and Reporter, Linda Parker. What is this on the REVOLVING STAGE! Golly, it is the reenactment of the JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM! Why, it is simply breathtaking! The theme is Somewhere over the Rainbow, and their faces look as if they have just found that pot of gold! More and more celebrities grace the scene! Science Fair winners David Stiles, Thomas Smith, Alice Dunn, Faydene Perry: and Exchange students Francis Wilson, Jo- Anne Cannady, John Williams, and Levi Beckwith take their places. Finally, Antoinette Foxwell, having achieved the highest academic honors for two years, completes the pro- cession on STAGE 11. One more panoramic view unfolds - STAGE 12 - the most composite of the four! Let us watch as the pattern falls into place. The Roll Call of Honor includes the fol- lowing: THE CLASS OFFICERS: Levi Beckwith, President: Antoinette Foxwell, Vice- Presidentg Brenda Farrell, Secretary: Margo King, Assistant Secretary: John Williams, Parliamentariang Thomas Smith, Treasurer: and JoAnne Cannady, Historian. Presenting -THE PRESIDENT OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL: John Leak! Introducing - OUR MERIT SCHOLAR: Antoinette Foxwell! Applauding - THE NATIONAL ACHIEVE- MENT FINALISTS: John Leak, Levi Beckwith, and Sundar Fleming! Have the spotlight pick up members of the basketball team, who brought THE FIRST STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TO LIGON! Let us have a hand for William Breeze Cooper, William Blake Brooks, Bennie Earl Baker, Willie Pulley, Aredis Williams, and Anthony Ratliff ! Presenting-members of the ALL TOURNAMENT AND ALL-STATE TEAMS: William Cooper and Willie Pulley! The MOST VALUABLE PLAYER of the tournament: William Cooper! Listen to the applause! Curtain calls for our senior thespians and their exploits in the senior play, THE OTHER YOU: Levi Beckwith, Moses Dorsey, Alicia Adcock, Donna Kay, Anita Miller, Claudia Goodson, Carolyn Peterson, Artura Ritter, Ellen Tomlinson, and James Martin! To my left is Carolyn Moye, one of the winners of the District Typing Contest! Strolling into the spotlight are John Leak, Vice-President of the Youth Council on Civic Affairs and Antoinette Foxwell and Levi Beckwith, council members. That signal means that we have only two minutes left, but We just cannot leave without having Donna Kay, WKIX Reporter, and Jacqueline Williams, Creative Writing Club President, add their charm to the scene. Alas, the lights begin to lower! The audience stares in wonder! The curtain closes! Nostalgia fills the air! Another era in the history of Ligon High School has come to a close. THIS IS OUR GRAND FINALE! JoAnne Cannady, Historian
