CLASS HISTORY LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTIONg About to unfold is a panoramic view of four glorious years in the history of Ligon High School. This mammoth production has been sparked by such notable directors as Mesdames M. R. Cook, D. W. Revis, E. L. Clark, E. B. Laster, M. B. Lindsey, O. Noble, E. H. Perry, S. V. Perry, K. S. Brown, M. B. Blakely, L. H. Webb, B. P. Ingram, A. M. Levingston, M. D. Aldrich, E. D. Tooleg Misses M. C. Lee, J. Davis, E. M. Yeargin, M. C. Bullock, D. Cobb, A. E. Nunn, M. E. Ligong and Messieurs P. H. Williams, G. C. Jones, H. Cunningham, G. L. Handy, M. C. Hill, C. A. Haywood, H. A. Poole, and C. C. Lipscomb. Throughout the years many of these original 533 young Ligonites have distinguished themselves in many areas. Talents were bursting out all over and our casting directors immediately capitalized to mold these talents into a perpetual memorial. Let us take a short trip around the studio! Over to the left is STAGE 9 where the following sports enthusiasts and record-setters are waiting. The outstanding football personalities are Harold Allen, Jimmie Robinson, John Lewis, David Mack, Aredis' Williams, Willie Pulley, Henry Perry, Michael Avery, Charles McNeil, David Stiles, Michael Montague, William Yates, Melvin Baker, Ernie Foster, William Glover, Larry Harris, and Carl Mintz. In the center circle are the basketball honorees William Brooks, William Cooper, Jimmie Robin- son, Willie Pulley, David Mack, Levi Beckwith, Anthony Ratliff, Aredis Williams, Bennie Baker, Melvin Baker, James Stone, John Williams, and Willie Spence. Downstage is Paul Jervay who acquired the highest averageg Anita Miller, the exchange student to Hillside High School, is on the apron. Over to the right is STAGE 10 with six distinct partitions housing a marvelous display of rugged individualism. Dressed in those pert costumes are cheerleaders Freddie Bridgers, Brenda Farrell, and Shirley Hunter. Twirling the batons are high-stepping Alicia Adcock, Donna Kay, and Carolyn Perry. Gathering balls, bats, and mitts are Harold Allen, Jimmie Robinson, James Hockaday, Willie Pulley, William Cooper, and Melvin Baker. On the next set the directors are ass'embling outstanding participants in other areas. Science Fair winners Claudette Fort, Brenda Farrell, and David Stiles now come into the range of the camera. Making a most exciting entree upstage are the nominees to the Gov- ernor's School: Paul Jervay, Larry Harris, John Leak, Antoinette Foxwell, Bernard Davis, and John P. Williams. Rising from the pit are the Modern Music Masters Inductees JoAnne Cannady, Antoinette Foxwell, Sundar Fleming, Annie Hilliard, John Leak, Artura Ritter, Gloria Upperman, and Jacqueline Williams. Before leaving STAGE 10, let us chat a moment with Antoinette Foxwell, Sundar Fleming, Raeford McKinley, Levi Beckwith, Freddie Bridgers, DeJuanna Woods, William Cooper, Brenda Farrell, Phillip Holloway, Phillip McCullough, Frances Wilson, John Leak, James Martin, Linda Parker, Thomas Smith, John Williams, Venice Preston, and Gwendolyn Steward - all who have been initiated into Mu Alpha Theta, the Mathematics Club. STAGE 11 is so crowded that if you are not mindful of where you walk, you will surely trip over one of our celebrities! How difficult it has been for the directors to squeeze all of the accomplishments of the CLASS of 1967 on STAGE 11! Downstage to the right are the Student Council officersg all of whom have excelled throughout their three years of high school: John Leak, Vice-President, Frances Wilson, Secretary, Antionette Foxwell, Assistant Secretaryg and Larry Harris, Parliamentarian. Upstage are track stars William Yates, James King, Sundar Fleming, Carl Mintz, David Stiles, Ernie Foster, Maurice Morgan, Eddie Cox, Prentice Poole, Levi Beckwith, Charles Joyner, Aredis Williams, William Glover, Willie Spence, and Trainer Lawrence Stanley.
