DEDICATION Mr. Charles Bechtold is known to The students as a good teacher, to the faculty as a cooperative fellow Teach- er, and to all as a friendly person. His abilities are rec- ognized, his interests extend far beyond the Social Science Department. It seems that Mr. Bechtold is never without a smile or a worthwhile comment. He always finds some- thing good in everything. Except for the years between 1930 a nd 1947, when he took time off to serve his coun- try as an administrator for The Red Cross and for further study, he has watched students grad- uate at Libertyville-Fremont High School since 1928. During This time he has certainly con- tributed to The good standards and reputation that represent This school. The yearbook staff, on behalf of the students and administration, dedicate the 1959 Nautilus to Mr. Bechtold with admiration and apprecia- tion for him.

The pictures do not begin to show all that took place, because they are only the visual representations of the many angles and unseen aspects of student and faculty life. ' This school life is not confined just to these four walls, because they expand and become trans- parent to the opportunities which lie beyond them. Nor can school experiences be confined to the four years spent here, for the students gain a good start for their future years through the knowledge they acquire, the social experiences they meet, and the adult ways of thinking they begin to develop.
