CLASS OF 1957 E. HERCHENBACH K. SOUTHORN D. BELZER J- BETJEMANN Secretary Treasurer President VICE PVGSICYSHT CLASS MOTTO Never say I can't because American ends in I can. CLASS COLOR: Gold and White CLASS FLOWER: Red Rose Valedictorian Salutatorian JUDITH PARADISE BETTY GAFFNEY The Senior year for the Class of '57 has indeed been an active one. Our various activities, both scholastic and extra- curricular, have really kept us busy. John Pyle returned from Belgium. We were happy to wel- come Anders Brautigam, our exchange student from Sweden. Homecoming gave us all a chance to participate in the fes- tivities. The L Club took charge of the Frosh initiation. The Senior girls did a take-off on an old nursery rhyme with their skit EIeven Little Wildcats. Queen Bonnie Brown reigned over the parade, game, and dance. The Seniors and Miss Johnson were quite proud of our class float, which took first prize. Our holiday season began blissfully with the Christmas Dance Winter Wonderland, which was complete with sweep- ing pine trees and Santa Claus. The Senior boys took on the faculty to raise funds for the March of Dimes. In February the Seniors presented a truly suspenseful Victorian melodrama, Angel Street. Our four years have been happy and eventful ones. We have done a lot of growing as individuals and as a group. The experiences we have gained will provide us with many thoughtful and happy memories in the years to come.
