These girls did a lot of practicing in order to show they knew their stuff. Come on, yell!! That was their plea at the basketball games and the pep meetings. They had some new yells this year and worked out motions for them which we all enjoyed very much. They had good motions for all their yells and they knew when to jump or run and not get mixed up all the time. The cheerleaders of 1947-1948 worked hard and did a good job and we owe them a lot of credit. BASEBALL The baseball team engoyed a very successful season last fall, by winning seven games BUG losing four Prospects for next year are very good nnly one player vill Q6 lost due to graduation Some highlights of the season were Jim Ray's three run homer which enabled us to defeat Cyvnet and Bernard K1r1an's no hit, no run pitching perforl nee a ainst eston Scores of the games are as follows Liberty 15 ririan Pay Bland Smith Vermilya Collins Hasxins Jackson Portage hilton Cygnet No Troy liberty S Lilton eston Cyanet CTourna1entl Fitcner lst Base 2nd Pase 3rd Base -Short Stop Grim Left Field oore Bexley Burdock Jackson ebster Uentves -Center rield hramo -Utility Utility Utility Ianager Penager ' ' 2 -' 4' 4 n 2 5 n 5 W 0 n 16 1 u 6 H 5 n 15 1 ' 4 n 12 6 n 3 4 rr 7 ig V 9 H 8 . 1 ll U U Sheline -------- -Catcher Bryan ------ Right Field JHAT LAST YEnR'C IIOR5 Q1 BOINC P3fF1C18 Ann laraffej Rooert Burdock Jonnn bowerman Leauna Lerner Q1Ch3Td Adler Larlenn Smith rllllo hoeblman dTV1H Franks Arclle Bowen Paullne Chamberlaln DdV1d Mason uonvs Jean H1113 Jolene blowers D fhlt3CT6 1 cal nHD6 rarcene 'nawbers ooezi Tkom son orfa Jean o u eroy Jtra sbeugn Studenu at DOWllHf ereen Qte Unlverslty In the Jen at greet nuke .
