X I Mrs. Downing has left for California and Mr. Houk is now our regular English teacher. Oh Boy! I The boys are redily in the groove this year with their Hi-Y Club. They really get around. That banquet at Wauseon was really interesting Cafterwardsl, I heard. Valentine Day and that pest Cupid is at it again. He really gets around somebody who knows somebody else. I have heard a rumor, rumor that is, that sugar and stuff is retioned. From some of the cards I've seen, I have my doubts. You should have seen the card that our famed Chem. teacher received with about a dozen lip prints on it, and no signature. The gals told him on the card that wif you're really interested, you can find out who sent this tp you.U - What a catastrophe! What a ghastly fate! What? Ch, we're having six weeks tests. We were so happy before this awful thing happened. It's too bad the tournament at B. G. came before tests because no one had much time to study. Chemistry was ever so hard, they tell. One beautiful day of vacation on Washington's birthday. Hubba! Hubba! Another man teacher! Mrs. Johnson went to New Orleans to spend two weeks with John and Mr. Ringer is her replacement. What a replacement! He's married gals, but still lots of fun. The first year typing students in fourth period class can get away with murder! He likes girls! Another sailor! This time it is John Woessner and he's just back before discharge. The Senior Civics class surely made a good impression on him. Peer sister Evelyn can't talk with him as an audience. .' Holida s are over, over that is-- ' gSo are my New Year's resolutions,Y All the lads and lassies are back for more horsing around. A guy could get killed here! Mr. Goon, Goon that is, was here to take class pictures. x What a fate! I can't understand why it took him so long to take the seniors' pictures. Mrs. Downing is leaving. First for California and then back to Africa. Her brother is coming to take her place. We've seen pictures of him, haven't we girls? Mr. Houk came for a few days, so he could get nge to us, I betcha! Hey, if you get many more of these men, men I say, how will they expect us to keep our minds on our work? 'Well, iaybe they don't. The seniors ordered their invitations and namecards. That's the most agreeable class !'ve seen for a long while. Let's hope it's not catching! Basketball seems to be the main topic nowadays. We've really had some keen games and again just the opposite. Those cheerleaders are really on the beam and what figures they oan't cut. We even have some small frys in training. Beverly Collins is really coming up. She's solid! , Why do I stand when the moon is high, With arms outstretched to a starlit sky, While on my lips is a wordless cry? Why do I do it? l'm nuts, that's why. Did you like that? We thought you would. XV Phe Junior Class has decided to put on the play WTHE TAVERNN. Mr. Houk and Mrs. Johnson decided who was going to be in it. Those poor Juniors were really in suspense. It took so long! The basketball boys, boys I say, had a banquet at the Falcons' Nest in Bowling Green. Coach Harold Anderson of Bowling Green University was the guest speaker. 'Elagpolen Sheline was named as the honorary captain. You deserve it, too, Hughie. The Nskirtsu of the Senior Class sponsored a WPlaid Shirt and Blue Jeans Partyn. The Junior and Senior boys played a basketball game and the Senior boys were beaten. Will they ever live it down? Boys, you beat them last year! You should have seen Mrs. Johnson in shirt and overalls, complete with pigtails. Mr. Dewese and Mr. Brueggemeier were really at home, too. Dick Adler and V Gloria gave out with some really hep jitterbugging to nTico,.Ticon. It can be done. The historian, prophet, and will-writer were elected by the Senior Class, Scotohie got the prophesy by an almost unanimous vote.'
