, ,!cf. 1irxfQf!!2jj?f lfzxfffxxffxwell, Dt J. here it ith near Chrithmath and IBJPB jutht getting tharteda Isn't that corny? Of course those wonderful basketball games have kept us all jumping. I'm sure we don't know who gets the most attention, the cheerleaders, or the basketball.boys. I'd say it was 50-50. The mice should have been warned in due time because the Seniors got their pictures finally. The pictures, on the whole, are alreet. I, for one know at least one Jerk from Albuquerque whose ' picture will be especially swell for scaring mice, or is it meese? Gee, you should have seen our Christmas Carnival. I'll lay you ten to one that there's ' never been another one like it5l Scotchie and Tom were really proud of their weight-guessing joint. They did pretty good for the Senior Class.- Tanks! Carol Barker was the crystal gazer for the Junior Class and what futures he could foretell. Mine was a pippen, how about yours? The fish pond was the Sophomores. All I could see to fish for was a redhead. How about it boys? The Freshmen and eighth grade did OK with the darts, baseballss, and ping pong balls. It was all Super! Mr. Smith, who was trying to emphasize a point in logic, asked the civics class: Ulf the United States is bounded on the north by Canada, on the south by Mexico on the east by the Atlantic Dcean and on the west by the Pacific 1? Ocean, how old am I? There was - a long, horrible silence, and even Jack Warner sat uumfounded. 4 CHIASWQAS , Finally Janet raised her hand. p . ,, You're 44 . The Senior Play nYou Canft Take It With Youn was presented on November 2nd, Gee, was Mrs. Johnson ever tickled to have it such a success. Mr. DePinna was a sensash part of the program and Grand- pa was really alreet. tHe put his two bits worth in and made it hilarious. Well, you know Scotchie. The Seniors finally decided where they wanted to be shot. Halker's it was, that is Wa1ker's I say. The camera took it's ghastly fate like a man, oh, my mistake, camera, camera, that is. Then came the trip to Toledo. There was plenty of help when it came to fixing flats, wnsn't there keeds? Every- thing went ginger peachy. Maybe nDocn was a bit bored, but how could he be with what rode with him? It was simply cosmic, wasn't it UDocn? Jack was happy, tool I'll bet those two girls 'Doc'ato Lunch with were thrilled all to pieces. How about it gals? MIGHT SHIFT I'll never get my homework done, It's midnight and I've just begun. Of course, it had to be postponed when certain parties telephoned. Then, too, I simply couldn't cope with Ancient Hist'ry AND Bob Hope. And, by the time that Bob was through, I had my hair and nails to do. Oh, evening duties are so myriad I thank my stars for Study Period! w Aren't we sharp as a drill, and twice as boring? eff-,ft ' fx. ....... , , ff? I '- 0 ' v f ' Y-1 J M ix X 7 ' lei T . Holida s are over, over that is-- ' gSo are my New Year's resolutions,Y All the lads and lassies are back for more horsing around. A guy could get killed here! Mr. Goon, Goon that is, was here to take class pictures. x What a fate! I can't understand why it took him so long to take the seniors' pictures. Mrs. Downing is leaving. First for California and then back to Africa. Her brother is coming to take her place. We've seen pictures of him, haven't we girls? Mr. Houk came for a few days, so he could get nge to us, I betcha! Hey, if you get many more of these men, men I say, how will they expect us to keep our minds on our work? 'Well, iaybe they don't. The seniors ordered their invitations and namecards. That's the most agreeable class !'ve seen for a long while. Let's hope it's not catching! Basketball seems to be the main topic nowadays. We've really had some keen games and again just the opposite. Those cheerleaders are really on the beam and what figures they oan't cut. We even have some small frys in training. Beverly Collins is really coming up. She's solid! , Why do I stand when the moon is high, With arms outstretched to a starlit sky, While on my lips is a wordless cry? Why do I do it? l'm nuts, that's why. Did you like that? We thought you would.
