SENIOR ELQSS PLIH The play 'YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOUW is a cel- ebrated comedy, that had Jimmy Stewart in the lead in the movie version, a few years back. ' At first sight the Sycamore family KRena Wagner and Loren Bechsteins seem a little cuckoo-lbut, they just enjoy living very much! But, oh, those dull Kirby's, very social register, lJoyce Robinson and Tom Thompsonl--they refuse to let their handsome son Tony QHugh Shelinel marry Alice Sycamore fEvelyn Woessnerl--just because her family is so harum-scarum. Can't imagine why! It's true that the first time the Kirbys paid a visit, poor flustered Mrs. Sycamore was painting a picture of a discus thrower with Mr. De Pinna fBill Strausbaughl posing in his shorts, Essie4CPat Crowe! was tapddancing in an abbreviated costumeg her husband CRon Snow! was diligently work- ing on his printing circulars in the parlor: Donald, KJohn Knaggsb, a colored boy friend of the maid, CHelen Bechsteinj was lounging on the scfag and Martin Vanderhof CBob Richardsonl was pasting stamps in his album. Well, that just gives you an ideal But, really, the family doesnft do anything, but what their individual whims dictate. Mr. Sycamore, and Mr. D6 Pinna experiment with fire cracker production in the cellar, and all went well until the police lieutenant KJim Hilly, and his police women lSylvia Mantel and Annie Flowersl raided the houlo. Mr. De Pinna left his pipe in the cellar and the fireworks blew up! Let's not forget their friends--the dashing Russian KJack Warner! who teaches Essie to dance, and mooches meals at the same time. Nor, don't forget to mention the Grand Duchess CRosie Hdntgesl, who likes to cook: or the limburger-loving actress iwanda Priest! who has an aversion to snakes. We must tell you what a grand job Scotchie did as the Grandpa of our drammer. Ho learned 278 speeches, all spoken in a quavering-high pitched voice, and enjoyed himself-on the atagei He stole the show!
